The State of New Jersey has undergone hearings in order to plan for a redistricting of Legislative voting districts in the state. And every politician and special interest group is crawling out of the woodwork in order to make race the central issue of the matter.
The commission met first met earlier this year in Camden to begin the process, which is performed once every ten years. The redistricting is supposed to be performed based on population shifts in the state in order that political representation and influence is fairly distributed as outlined by the State Constitution; which calls for 40 Districts to be outlined based on the population data generated by the US Census every ten years per the US Constitution.
The ten member Apportionment Commission was at an impasse when it March 1, 2011 deadline was reached and a special “eleventh” member had to be appointed to break the voting deadlock on the ten man commission. This is most likely due to the pandering of special interest and minority groups by commission members on both sides of the aisle.
Naturally with the flooding of our state with mestizos, or ‘Hispanics’ as they currently like to be called, they have been pushing the hardest for more seat in the legislature. The commission suggested a plan to “pack” more ‘Hispanics’ in certain districts in order to placate them with the perceived increase in voting clout.
This is a clear-cut case of racism. Instead of simply redrawing the districts according to population shifts as outlined by the State Constitution, our elected and appointed officials are succumbing to political correctness and political dishonestly for partisan gain. There is nothing in the redistricting protocol that calls for negotiations based on racial population demographics.
Strangely, this “packing” strategy is being proposed by the Republicans with the Democrats taking the full multicultural position of denouncing it as segregating communities by making certain suburban districts “Whiter”. There is nothing that is more frightening to a liberal or democrat poisoned with multiculturalism than a “white” voting district. Their intention is obvious; they seek to increase the minority voting power while diminishing the influence of the White vote.
Even certain black advocacy groups like The New Jersey Black Issues Convention, whose chairman Jerome Harris sits on the commission, is attempting to gain redistricting that favor their racial community by disputing changes in districts that are traditionally black.
Whites are the only racial group that is not vying for political clout of their people, as this would simply be seen as racist and insensitive. Instead, the politicians that are in office and that sit on this commission were voted in by a majority White population.
Ultimately, the ‘eleventh member’ of the commission, Alan Rosenthal, a public policy professor at Rutgers University, cast the deciding vote for a redistricting plan that favors the Democrats. This one does not create districts based on clear-cut racial enclaves that the Republicans wanted in order to curry favor with the “Hispanics”, but instead it makes sure that the whiter suburbs incorporate neighboring non-white communities in order to weaken their voting power.
As a result, the complaint on all sides now is that there has been “no real” change and the situation created is one that provides “competitiveness” in voting districts. Once again, legitimate representation in the law making body of the State seems to be the furthest thing from the minds of the people who have been charged with the duty to be our government officials.
All of the chaos generated by this process has caused utter confusion in media circles, with the newspapers uncertain who to point fingers at or who to demonize. Both sides attempted to play the race card while attempting to portray themselves as allies of the same racial groups; therefore the safest bet for the media was to keep reporting the same vague information week after week while repeating the claim that “Hispanics” are under-represented.
Race has been taking a more and more prominent role in political policy within the State of New Jersey, much to the detriment to the interests of White people. The only players in the race debate that are permitted are non-White special interest groups and multicultural liberals pushing for the marginalization of Whites. Anything else would be racist.
The New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Council of Conservative Citizens is willing to be in the forefront of fighting for the rights of White people. We will not sit by in idle fear while the corrupt political apparatus continues to devour our rights and our heritage simply to serve the purpose of its own continuation. We accept the name calling and demonization that is thrown our way as a consequence of standing up for our people. Someone has to do it.
